Story of the Seed-The Brussels Sprouts Brief

Hello my name is Benjamin Buran and I am from New Jersey. My family moved to San Jose with me when I was about 5 years old and have been living there ever since. I currently attend Willow Glen High School and am in the 9th grade. So far Honors Biology has been an interesting and challenging class that I am very excited to learn for the remainder of the year. The story of the seed is my first big project for the class and pretty much for all my classes. The experiment that we will do is very fun for us and we hope that we can all learn from it.

My name is Adison Akery and I was born in Detroit, Michigan 2002. I moved to San Jose when i was 4 (2006) and lived with my grandparents for 3 years. I really never understood or was really interested in gardening. My grandparents grow several vegetables and fruits in their backyard that they use for cooking. My grandfather tried to teach me about gardening when I was little but I never really caught. I hope I will have a basic understanding of gardening when I finish this class.

My name is William Mahnke and I'm from Berkeley, California.  My family moved to Washington, D.C. in 2005 and we moved back to California in 2010, this time living in San Jose.  My grandparents still live on the East Coast and I visit them every summer. I'm not that interested in gardening.  In elementary school, I would often help my mom with the plants that she wanted to grow.  Back then it was lots of fun because my mom would constantly be growing things.  But now with the hot weather, she doesn't really do gardening anymore so I no longer have any experience.  However, my mom still knows a lot about gardening.  She's familiar with certain types of seeds and has mastered planting and watering the seeds.  She would occasionally go to the nursery and pick up seeds and sometimes look around.  Hopefully, by the end of this project, I'll know more about plants than her.
